Persephone's Awakening

Colour Palatte

January 6, 2009 · 2 Comments

As I mentioned in the last post, I have found a few colours that I am leaning towards for the apartment. I found them while surfing the Design*Sponge website, and they just so happen to be a sneak peek from béatrice peltre very cool home. She probably lives in Portland Oregan, because that seems to be where all the super creative people with fun/beautiful homes and successful artisan business are.

Not only does beatrice have neat colours, but her decor is so very much up my alley. I love that the walls are neutral yet still SHOUT with colour.  I also enjoy that despite all the colour in her home, she pulls it off in a way that is not in the least bit tacky. That can be a difficult feat, but one I hope to overcome in my decorating.

Then I found this photo on flickr while searching for green kitchens. I really like the aqua with the green, and yep, that’s the route I’ll go, me thinks!I think it’s lovely. And easy to accomplish, too. This time it’s all about uncluttered free-spirited colour-loving!

On a similar but different note, I have received so many kind offers to help paint, decorate, etc. Thanks to Laura, Sally, Robbie, Kristi, Melissa (who has been volunteered by Kristi) and Auntie Cindy… I’ll be pulling all of you in for some inpiration!
