I’m in a quilting mood today! My bestfriend decided she was going to make a few quilts for Yule gifts (my choice of words, not hers), and she decided not to wait for me to get the fabric. She hopped right on it and has already started. YEOW! She will be making a quilt with this fabric, and with this fabric. That is two quilts! And she will be using the tutorial provided by Happy Things. It makes life easier!
Well, I will be doing some quilts, too, you see. My brother has requested one for his Yule gift, as he very much likes the quilt that I made for myself (which is now finished, and I love it, and it will be in the upcoming art show despite it’s first timers mistakes). Anyway, he wants the same colour scheme, so I’m going to use the Happy Things tutorial and make blocks, which I will free-motion quilt because he liked that on the pillow I made. So anyway, today I decided to make up some inspiration mosaics to keep me chugging along. This inspiration mosaic was made by someone else. It can be found here. Lovely handmade aqua and red and white things!
Next we have some inspiration that I came across last evening at Canadian Tire. Debbie Travis has inspiration cards out, and the colourway on the card was aqua, pink and lime. We all already know these colours look wonderful together, so quilt – I’m on my way towards you!
And then this morning in the newsletter from Purlsoho, I fell in love with a photo of a lilac and red slipper that someone is knitting. That inspired this… and yes, you will find that slipper in the mosaic.
It looks like I should get started. I seem to have a lot of work infront of me!

Now you are barking up my tree! Oh how I love love quilts! I’ve got 2 in the works…one in my head that needs to come out once I finish the top of one of previous two. I have to finish up the first one which is already a quilt sandwhich. I need the curved pins to make the sandwhich for the second quilt. Knowing me I’ll have the one in my head finished before the first two are even touched again! :D Confusing much?
Love your colour schemes!

Well you are the project-finisher extraordinaire lately. Maybe I’ll use your good example for inspiration!
