If you have visited here in the past, you may have known that I am incredibly bored with my livingroom. It’s a large space and the walls are painted cranberry and I’m not allowed to change them (so says the landlord aka my step-dad). I found a few AWESOME rooms that are apple-green, and I really want to go that route. For example:
Don’t they look great? Well, mine won’t exactly look like that. But it will be nice. I hope! I have purchased
the wall decals below, but in ’snow’. I am also going to paint all the currently blank canvasses in my livingroom to a green shade – apple will suffice.
I’ve also decided to use the following tutorial to make a large lace painting above my couch, which many people commented requires more filler. No more tiny little clock… be prepared for more! I will also paint my tv stand cream coloured, and the inside compartments apple green. The desk that gramps gave me will also get a paint job, not sure which colour though.
Now to schedule some time so that I actually do it! Here’s what the room looks like now:

Those green rooms do look lovely light and inviting… but surely you will get in trouble with your stepdad once he notices the change.

Warning~! I just did the EXACT same thing. I Loved the apple green rooms I have been seeing. But apparently talking to a paint pro(after my disaster) green is the HARDEST paint color to paint of your wall. Aka, thats why I now have literally lime green 80’s walls. I was so upset, I loved the color I picked out but up on the wall…it was horrid. I will not mess with green again unless someone gives me an exact paint shade name.

I’m sorry you can’t paint your walls. We are “renting” from my parents too and I can’t paint the living room, but I did manage to paint the kids’ bedrooms(a limey-apple green which I hate, and a pale peachy-pink which we all hate). I think the blank canvas green is a wonderful idea though, might look pretty awesome with the cranberry.
