What to do with all these flowers?
Does anyone remember the many-flowered scarf I made back in October? Well I attached the flowers by tying them together with white yarn (way to be inconspicuous, Jen!) and after wearing the scarf a few times, it started falling apart. Le sigh. On making my second flowered scarf, I realized that crocheting the flowers together was a better way to keep them attached. My plan was to crochet a million more and intersperse them between the falling-apart flowers. The verdict: I never got around to it, of course. It has since sat piled in my yarn basket taking up room and making things look messy.
Today I dragged the ole scarf out and have made two items so far out of these scarf - a red and turquoise choker and a pink headband. I have taken photos, but my boyfriend has the required transfer cord. I will be posting these weird projects on etsy at some point. I’ve just ordered some pinbacks to make brooches, but I’ve been looking for some other things to use these flowers for. This is what has been inspiring me on flickr…

So we’ll see where I go with this. I have some felted sweater pieces that could be sewn together to make a scarf and adorned with crocheted flowers. I’m also going to attempt to design my own flowered granny square. If you have any ideas, feel free to offer them up!
xoxo Jen

Jen–I tried to email you about your comment/question the other day, but it wouldn’t go through, is there a different email address you use other than that which you use to comment with? I love that ’shrub’ of crocheted flowers. Very cute!
